Many of the events are recognised for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
There is a point of contact for every event listed.

Practitioner update

Laws and Regulations for the Practicing Accountant
Venue: Gomersal Park Hotel, Moor Lane, Gomersal, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, BD19 4LJ
Speaker: Andrew Güntert
Accountants in practice need familiarity with a wide range of laws and regulations, both those that have been in existence for some time (such as minimum wage, working time and data protection regulations) and those which are relatively new. This need arises firstly in the auditing context, where ISA+ 250A on the Consideration of Law and Regulations requires auditors to consider the implications of non-compliance and to carry out certain procedures. Secondly the accountant is the key adviser to clients on the relevant legislation they need to be aware of to run their businesses and finally the practice itself needs to comply with the appropriate statutory regulations.
