Climbing the Clarity Learning Curve

The roadshow will help delegates understand how to comply with the Standards proportionately, efficiently and without incurring unnecessary additional costs. Using case studies, the session with help delegates get a good understanding of how the new Clarity standards will apply to both large and small audits. There will be a particular focus on small and medium-sized entity audits, and the Auditing Practices Board's recently revised guidance in Practice Note 26, Guidance on Smaller Entity Audit Documentation will also be covered, to help further establish an efficient and robust approach to the new Standards. The roadshow has been planned for the summer of 2010 in advance of the expected audit training within firms. It will give delegates a firm grasp of the fundamental requirements of the new Clarity standards, forming a firm foundation for further Clarity training. The roadshow will cover: -The redrafted risk ISAs -The audit of groups -Communications with management - in particular the new requirements for reporting deficiences in internal control -The new approach for the audit of related party disclosures -The audit of fair values and management estimates -Consideration and application of overall materiality and performance materiality. The roadshow will also cover: -The latest thinking on the implementation of the Companies Act 2006 for auditors -Ethical consultations and proposals relating to the provision of non-audit services to audit clients For costs see the website
