Lazy Lounge is the venue for our informal Wine Tasting Call My Bluff Quiz for our Young Chartered Accountants and young professionals in West Yorkshire. All teams will be mixed to ensure maximum networking opportunities. During the event you will get to taste 6 wines; 3 white and 3 red. The first two wines are one red and one white and you will be explained the basics of identifying wine. You’ll then get two tasting notes each for the next four wines and you have to decide which is the correct one. There are also points awarded for grape variety and country of origin, with a bottle of Fizz for the winning team! This will be a very basic introduction to wine but in a networking environment! To finish off the evening there will be cheese boards to help soak up the alcohol!

This lunch is aimed at those members wanting a light hearted and entertaining Christmas lunch in the centre of town. There will be no snooker or dominoes but a fun lunch is guaranteed! This event is open to both members and non-members of the Huddersfield & District Society of Chartered Accountants and we will be delighted to see your colleagues, clients and other contacts. The cost of £15.50pp covers a 3 course lunch, but drinks are excluded! The menu choices can be found on the reverse of the booking form. If you wish to attend please complete the reply slip on the booking form (including menu choices) and return it together with £15.50 made payable to “HSCA”, by 29 November 2011, or alternatively, payment may be made by BACS. The course will make participants aware of the latest developments in direct taxes which give rise to planning opportunities and pitfalls that they and their clients need to exploit or avoid. This will include a review of decided cases and updated HMRC guidance.
