Since 1837 the Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS) has promoted and developed the best of food and farming in the region. With over 10,000 members the YAS is also well known for running the Great Yorkshire Show (GYS). 2010 will see the 152nd Great Yorkshire Show with exhibitors coming from all over the UK and 130,000 visitors, making GYS England's largest agricultural show. Innovation, with a strong sense of traditional values has been key to this success. Deborah Goodall, Marketing Manager for the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, will talk about how The Great Yorkshire Show has, and still keeps itself at the heart of English food and farming.
